Cox, Teresa Nunley

On December 23, 2025, en route to be with her family for Christmas, Teresa Nunley Cox, 62, of Christiansburg, VA, and God had other plans. Teresa went to be with her Heavenly Father and without a doubt her mom was there with open arms to usher her in.

Teresa was born May 18, 1963, daughter of late Beulah Mae Hylton Nunley, and grew up in Christiansburg, VA. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Nunley; niece, Whitney Nunley and sisters in law, Betty Williams Nunley and Becky Nunley.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Cheyenne and Skylar Smoke of Christiansburg, VA. She is also survived by her brothers Dean Nunley of Christiansburg and David Nunley of Radford, brother and sister in law Larry and Linda Nunley of Christiansburg, sisters and brothers in law Rose Mary and Lloyd Phillips of Radford and Sheena and John Asconi of Christiansburg. Teresa is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews who lovingly called her TeeTee. She is also survived by her “bonus” daughter and “bonus” grandchildren, Ann, Josh and Amanda Figura of Albuquerque, NM and her cat, Bebe.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm on January 2, 2026, at Horne Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
