Conley, Arthur DaleArthur Dale Conley, known affectionately as Pee Wee to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024, in his hometown of Pearisburg, Virginia, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 15, 1975, in Virginia, Arthur’s gentle spirit and adventurous nature endeared him to all who knew him.

Arthur’s life was marked by his devotion to his loved ones and his passion for the simple joys in life. He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Green Conley; his proud son, AJ Conley; his caring mother, Rosie Neice Conley; his brothers, Larry and David Conley; and his sister, Shanda Hess. A treasured uncle, cousin, and friend, Arthur’s memory will also be cherished by his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His life was rich with relationships that were a testament to his kind-heartedness. Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Robert Conley; sister, Sharon Conley; and brothers, Robert Lee Conley and Jerry Conley, who all hold a special place in his heart.

Arthur spent his professional life as a skilled machinist with Cogar, where he was known for his meticulous work and his readiness to lend a helping hand to his colleagues. His work was not just a job, but a craft he honed with pride and dedication.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Arthur had an insatiable love for the outdoors. He could often be found tinkering with cars, a pastime that allowed him to express his mechanical genius and creativity. His adventurous spirit shone brightly when he rode through the mountains, a pursuit that brought him immense joy and tranquility. These moments, spent amidst nature’s beauty, provided Arthur with a sense of freedom and adventure that he treasured deeply.

Arthur’s character was the epitome of gentleness; his presence brought a calming influence to any room. He approached life with a sense of kindness that resonated with everyone he encountered, making him not just a beloved family man but also a valued member of his community. His adventurous spirit inspired others to explore, to seek joy in the everyday, and to cherish the companionship of good friends and family.

As we bid farewell to Arthur, we celebrate a life lived with genuine kindness and an adventurous heart. The family will receive friends in a time of visitation on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a memorial service held to celebrate the life Pee Wee gave on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Whittaker officiating.
