Collins, Cindy Staples

Collins, Cindy Staples 4Cindy (Grandma Ninnie) Collins was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022. She is preceded in death by her precious mother, Bettie (Ellis) Staples, along with many special aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her daughters Meagan (Simon) Jones and Emily (LJ) Matherly, and her pride and joy, five grandchildren Lucas, Caleb, Jackson, Lainey, and Grant.

She is also survived by her brother Butch (Mary) Staples and sisters Annie Fink and Sherry Harmon, half-brother Shane (Ami) Staples, uncle Robert (Lynne) Ellis, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and childhood friend Donna Collins.

Cindy found her calling working at the Eastmont Community Thrift Store where she was able to talk and work with neighbors in the community, and provide a helping hand when needed.

She was a passionate gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors, admiring the works of our Lord. Cindy never met a dog she didn’t immediately fall in love with, and provided a loving home to many older and disabled dogs over the years.

To respect her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead the family will be having a special church service on Monday, August 8th at 3 p.m. at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church, 674 Alleghany Spring Rd, Shawsville, VA 24162.

To honor her memory, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, take a moment to help someone in need.
