Clemons, Jackie EdwinJackie Edwin Clemons, age 83, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA. Born May 26, 1941, in Glen Lyn, VA, he was the son of the late Ned and Ella Jane Perdue Clemons.

Jackie worked as a Millwright at Celanese for 38 years until his retirement in 1999. Always looking for a good deal, he was a regular at the local flea markets and yard sales. If you ever needed something, you could just tell Jackie and he would track it down for you. Additionally, he was an avid coin collector and enjoyed watching any type of sports. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Suttle Clemons; brothers, Curtis Clemons, Marvin Clemons, Buddy Clemons, and Claude Clemons; and sisters, Thelma Suddith, Vada Cline, Charlotte Scott, and Jeanette Thornton.

Those left to cherish Jackie’s memory include two sons, Mark Clemons and wife Melinda of Rich Creek, VA, and Michael Clemons of Bluefield, VA; two daughters, Sheila Clemons Williams and husband Tony of Lindside, WV, and Sara Malik and husband Steven of Rich Creek, VA; sister, Darlene Gautier of Rich Creek, VA; grandchildren, Chad Price and wife Kari, Caleb Clemons, Benjamin Clemons, Ella Malik, and Brooks Malik; great grandchild, Ely Cook; special friends who were more like brothers, Tommy Hudson and Sonny Buckland; and several nieces, nephews, a large extended family, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA, with Pastor Ricky Green officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time to depart for the cemetery on Monday at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.
