Clark, Katie Gene

Katie Gene Clark, 41 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Katie was born on June 8, 1983, in Blacksburg, VA, and was a daughter of Jeffrey Howard Clark and Tammy Michelle Price Cumbee. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Paul Davis Clark and her grandmothers, Sylvia Mae Hare and Phyllis Neice and her aunt, Karen Stanley.

Katie was a 2001 graduate from Narrows High School where she loved cheerleading, basketball and volleyball, always showing school spirit. Katie loved her family more than anything. Her most precious achievements were her 2 boys. She had a contagious smile that would light any room she walked in. She was a cheerleader for anyone who was in her life. She was a caregiver and was always there with a helping hand. She was a fighter for anything life threw her way. Always joking and making people laugh; being around her was like a ray of sunshine and she always made home feel like home.

She is survived by 2 sons, Ayden Scott Meredith and Kolton Ryder Clark, both of Narrows, and was a sister to, Lora Jackson, Jessica Milam, Caley Dugan, Matthew McCoy, Emily Clark, Aleah Clark, Rayne Clark, step sister to, Amanda Cumbee, Melissa Myers, Daniel Schetselaar, step daughter to Amy Clark and Dennis Cumbee, her grandfathers, Paul Hare and Eugene Neice, many nieces, nephews, aunts, an uncle and cousins and her boyfriend “whom she loved very much,” Daniel Frazier.

Funeral services will be conducted, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 1pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with burial following in the Shrader Cemetery in (Wolf Creek) Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
