Carper, Marion Lanford

Marion Lanford Carper, age 83, of Narrows died Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was born in Pearisburg, Va., on June 15, 1941 to the late William and Frances Lugar Carper.

Marion was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired after over 55 years of cross-country truck driving.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Deran Carper; son, Elliott Lieberger; and several close cousins, Carol, Ann (Eddie), David (Joy), and Allen (Diane).

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Level Green Christians Church with the Pastor Duane Wente officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1- 2:00 P.M. Friday, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
