Brown, Judith Gardner

Judith Elaine Gardner Brown, 80 of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Country View Assisted Living in Peterstown. Judy was born on August 19, 1944, in Roanoke, VA and was a daughter of the late Thomas Wallis Gardner and Mary Eula Cochran Gardner. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Matthew Brown, and her niece Juanita Ann Hughes.

Judith, who went by Judy, had a kind soul and was focused on helping others. Throughout her career at VA Tech, and in her retirement volunteering at her local hospital, Judy brighten the lives of those around her. She was tough as nails with a heart of gold.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Brown of Pearisburg, her nephew, William Arthur Hughes, her nephew, John David Hughes, and niece, Christina Lee Garrett.

Funeral services will be conducted, Sunday, September 22, 2024, 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows. The family is being served by Givens – Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
