Brown, Joelen Cowan

Mrs. Joelen Snell Cowan Brown, born on January 26, 1942, passed away on February 15, 2024, at her home in Blacksburg, Virginia, at the age of eighty-two.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Moren Brown Sr.; her two sons, Robert Moren Brown Jr. and Paul Tolliver Brown; and her sister, Anne Elizabeth Cowan.

Joelen was a devoted wife and mother who was loved dearly and will be sorely missed. She is remembered too by her younger son’s wife and son, Jennifer Martinsen and Louis Brown; by her husband’s older brother and his wife, Wallace and Joyce Brown; his younger brother and his wife, Watson and Jackie Brown; and his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Guyton, Kelli Bryson, Daryl Maulden, and Michael Woodall; and by her sister’s son, Wyatt Sweat.
