Ballard, Linda Ann

Linda Ann Ballard, age 76, of Peterstown, WV, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She was born in Lindside, WV, on June 8, 1949, and was the daughter of the late J. Lee Thornton and Betty Sue Wilson Thornton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell C. Ballard.

Linda is survived by one son, John “Rusty” Ballard and wife Patricia of Peterstown, WV; one daughter, Becky Meadows of Ballard, WV; one sister, Debbie Sutphin and husband Jimmy of Peterstown, WV; ten grandchildren, Samantha Thompson and husband Bobby, Bryan Meadows and wife Abby, Krista Meadows and husband Scott, Sean Meadows, Neveaeh Meadows, Larry Farmer and wife Katrina, Hayley Helmendollar, Kayley Farmer, Brad Bullings, and Jaiden Chevelle; and five great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Orchard Cemetery, Ballard, WV with Pastor Otuce Huffman, Jr. officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:00 PM.
