Attisano, Leonard C.

Leonard C. Attisano, aged 90 died peacefully August 18, 2024 at Spring Village Assisted Living in Dover, New Hampshire where he had been a resident for 2 years. He was born June 10, 1934 in Bayonne, New Jersey, the son of the late Leonard Attisano and Theresa (Martelli) Maffucci. and the stepson of the late Michael Maffucci. Len was predeceased by his wife Connie (Fonti) of 59 years.

Len served in the US Army with deployment overseas. A graduate from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, New Jersey and he was a Production Supervisor for many years at AT&T. Len and his wife Connie spent many wonderful years of retirement in Blacksburg, Virginia, where they were parishioners of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Fox Council #6747. He was a devoted father and grandfather, an avid bowler, and always loved a good game of cards.

Survivors include his son Leonard M. Attisano and wife Mary Jo of New Boston, New Hampshire, daughter Teresa and husband Daniel Darvalics of Jacksonville, Florida, son Joseph Attisano and wife Regina of Lee, New Hampshire, and son Michael Attisano of Camden, South Carolina; grandchildren Danny, David, Peter, Elizabeth and MaryClaire; great grandchildren, Davin and Denver.

A private family viewing was held in New Hampshire with Fr. Andrew Cryans providing a prayer service.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Blacksburg, Virginia on August 29 at 11:00 A.M. with Father John Asare officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
