Ashworth, Donald Ray

Donald Ray Ashworth, 65 of Christiansburg passed away October 7th 2024 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Annie Ashworth and his brother Dale Ashworth.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Terra Ashworth of Hickory NC; his brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Lisa Ashworth of Riner; his sister and brother-in-law Debra and Michael Hall of Raleigh NC; his grandchildren, Kalea, Christoper and Wyatt Stafford and Rylee Shaw; his nephews and nieces, Wesley (Wes) Snider IV and wife Heather; Morgan, Faith and Aaron Hall; Kayla, Kristin and Kara Ashworth; 3 great nephews, Little Wes, Maxwell and Preston; and a host of friends which include special friends Gary and Sandy Bland and Debra Phelps. He also leaves behind his beloved furbaby, his Boston Terrier Belle.

Donald started working early in life with his older brother helping their father at Electrical Supply Company working after school and during summers and school breaks. He also did electrical work with his former son-in-law Chris Stafford. During his many decades of electrical sales and work he obtained a vast wealth of knowledge which he helped countless friends and customers over the years.

Donald held a great interest in aviation which led him to obtain his pilot’s license. He loved taking his family and friends flying. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

There will be no visitation or service at this time. A private family celebration of life to held later. Donald will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
