Art Kits from the Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation
Adults deserve some fun too!! The Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation has partnered with several local artists to provide ‘Art Kits’ to local adults. Local artists have donated materials and instructions on how to make each of the projects…all you need is the willingness to ‘play’ and possibly some additional supplies most people have in their homes already.
These kits are beginner friendly and all come with professional, easy to follow instructions or links for “live’ instructions! Those interested in receiving an ‘art kit’ should drive to the front of the Alexander Black House & Cultural Center on Draper Road (across from the Kent Square Parking Garage) on Friday, May 8 between 12-2pm.
Please stay in your car and your kit will be given to you from the sidewalk. All personal safety precautions will be used. Masks worn during pick up are appreciated and encouraged. You may choose from sewing, clay sculpting, moss vase garden/dried flower note cards or pencil drawing & shading. *Choice will be based on availability*
A big thank you to local artists: Larry Bechtel, Paula Golden and Diane Relf for their donations and putting together kits to share!
We encourage you to take a pic of your finished projects and tag us on facebook or instagram @blacksburgmuseum
