Arrest Made in Blacksburg Armed Robbery

Raymond M. Trigg, II was arrested and charged in the May 12th robbery of the Fast Mart Marathon in Blacksburg. He is charged with one count of Armed Robbery, one count of using a firearm while committing a robbery, and one count of brandishing a firearm. He is currently being held without bond on other charges in another jurisdiction. Blacksburg Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this case.

On May 12, 2021, shortly before noon, Blacksburg Police were called to the Fast Mart Marathon at 1211 Toms Creek Road where a robbery was reported. The suspect displayed a weapon and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the incident. The suspect is a heavyset black male in his early 40’s, approximately 5′ 6″ to 5′ 8″ in height.
