Annual BRAA Holiday Market

This year, marks the second holiday season for the Blacksburg Regional Art Association in The Artful Lawyer at 318 N. Main Street in Blacksburg. It has been a good year for the more than 16 artists selling their original works of art.

The eclectic inventory in the small shop includes original pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, baskets, cards, prints and custom art, all created by local artist members of the organization and offered at reasonable prices.

The Art Space inventory will soon expand with the holiday shopping season in mind from November 4 through January 8. The exhibiting artists take turns running the shop so customers may have the opportunity to meet the makers of the art they buy, who sometimes create new art in the space while taking care of visitors and sales.

The Art Space is open weekdays 2-7 p.m., Fridays 2-6 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Sundays noon-4 p.m. The space is staffed by artists Friday through Sunday. Additionally, The Art Space is available for shopping whenever The Artful Lawyer space is open.

Special hours for Downtown Blacksburg Winter Lights Festival will be Friday, December 2, noon to 9 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 4, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
