I am saddened to read that Maple has passed away and offer my sincere condolences to her family and close friends.
I first met Maple in 1978 when I was selected as Executive Director of the New River Valley Council on Alcoholism agency where she was a member of the Board of Directors. Always a supporter and tremendous friend during those years Maple was an exemplary member of the Board who frequently offered advice especially regarding funding issues that the Agency had throughout the region. May she rest in peace.
