Albert, Mary Vest

Mary Evelyn Vest Albert, 95, of Blacksburg, VA and formerly of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord she so faithfully served on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Mary was born on December 4, 1928 in White Gate, VA, the daughter of the late John & Julia Vest.

Mary was kindhearted and loved by everyone she encountered in her life. She was an angel to all and showed the love of God to her family and friends. Her kindness and love will never be forgotten.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John Covington & Julia May Thompson Vest, her husbands, Gene Stewart, Buford Mustard and Jack Albert, her sons, Daniel Stewart and Jeffrey Stewart, her grandson, Marcus, a step-daughter, Marilyn Mustard and her siblings, Jack Vest, Powell Vest, Wilma Blackburn, John Vest, Mildred Stafford, Sadie White, Josephine Melvin, Ross Vest, Hubert Vest and Lucille Buchanan.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons & daughters-in-law, Greg & Lois Stewart, Steven & Tommie Lee Stewart, Cindy Stewart, Jill Stewart and Barbara Marshall; her step-children, Brenda Williams, Ronnie Albert and Donnie Albert; her grandchildren, Amy Stevens, Jeff Stewart, Austin Stewart and Samantha Akers; her sister-in-law, Dolly Vest; special friend, Rhonda Crockett; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Poff and Charles Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Stinson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
