Albert, Jon Ray

Jon Ray Albert, age 80, of McCoy went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 12, 2024. He was born in Christiansburg, Va. on August 1, 1944, to the late Alva Lee and Florence McCoy Albert. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nyoka Albert, and a brother, Jack Albert.

Jon was a mechanic at M&M Garage and retired from the Radford Arsenal after over 30 years of service. His passion for automobiles led to many connections throughout the community.

He is survived by his son, Lee Albert (Valerie Willis); daughter, Linda A. Massie (Robert Allen); grandchildren, Haylee Massie, Melissa Albert, Cameron Albert, and Landen Massie; great-grandchild, River Rae Ward; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Gary McCoy; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Bonnie Albert; mother of his children, Daphne Bradley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday August 17, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the Centennial Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary McCoy officiating.
