Academy Sports + Outdoors Grand Opening
Academy Sports + Outdoors is celebrating its Christiansburg grand opening by donating a total of $5,000 to the community. Twenty local youth with Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Virginia will each receive a $150 Academy gift card to exclusively shop the store ahead of the grand opening for new apparel, shoes, equipment, and more. Student-athletes from Virginia Tech will be onsite to help the kids shop and pick out their new gear.
Academy Sports + Outdoors will also donate a $2,000 gift card to the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Virginia to purchase new equipment for the program.

Join Academy Sports + Outdoors’ team members and leadership for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the store’s official opening. Directly following the ceremony Academy, along with the Pulaski River Turtle Mascot, and Mugsy, the Salem Red Sox mascot, will welcome customers into the store.
