Fallen leaves, rusty ironwork colorful photo topics

Joyce Sims of Radford won the Radford Photo Club autumn challenge with a photo of a mixture of leaves from her backyard trees.

Charles Lynch of Christiansburg won the open category. He explains, “Just out for a walk, I found this wrought-iron fence on Main Street in downtown Christiansburg. The details in the ironwork, the lichens, and the specks of rust caught my eye and begged to be photographed.”

The next photo club meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Radford Public Library at 6 p.m. Dave Notter of Blacksburg will present photos taken in Africa. The challenge will be Thankful. Details of outings will be posted on the Radford Photo Club Facebook page. All interested people are welcome at meetings and outings.

The club includes photographers of all experience levels from throughout the New River Valley. Club officers are Allison Franklin of Pulaski, Tracy Burlingame of Riner, and Charles Lynch.
