Jessee, Nancy Duncan

Jessee, Nancy Duncan 2Nancy Evelyn Jessee, 61, of Christiansburg, Virginia, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. While her passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds peace and comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering.

Upon entering her heavenly home, Nancy was joyfully reunited with those who had gone before her: her beloved parents, Lonnie and Beulah Duncan; her fiancé, Bobby Calfee; her brother, Denny Sanders; her sister, Joyce Jessee; her precious grandson, William Lampey Jr.; and her special aunt, Gladys Elam. What a beautiful reunion it must have been.

Nancy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She dearly loved her dog, Angel, who was her constant companion and held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed spending time talking on the phone with her friends, sharing stories, laughter, and the everyday moments that made those friendships so meaningful. Those familiar conversations and the sound of her voice will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Nancy leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and carry her love in their hearts. She is survived by her sons, William Lampey (Rachael) and Christopher Salyer (Jessica); her beloved grandchildren, Brittany Lee, Haylee Lampey, Parker Salyer, and Mason Salyer; and her precious great-grandchildren, Oaklynn Lee and Warren Fox.

She is also survived by her loving siblings, Gary Jessee, Hazel Harmon (Steven), Lillian Duncan, and Billy Sanders (Barbie); along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who held a special place in her heart. Also missing her dearly are her faithful four-legged companions, her beloved dog Angel and cat Gabby.

Throughout her life, Nancy was blessed with friendships that became like family. She shared a special bond with her dear friends Kat, Judy, Regina, Momma Brenda, Tracy, and Sally, whose love, laughter, and companionship meant so much to her.

Although Nancy’s earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will continue to live on through those who knew and loved her. Her family takes comfort in the promise that this goodbye is not forever, but simply until they meet again.

A celebration of Nancy’s life and her eternal homecoming will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends for a viewing beginning at 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m., with Brother Steven Harmon officiating.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV) Until we meet again, rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. You are forever loved and will never be forgotten.
