10/17: Pedestrian Grand Opening

Pedestrian: The new local shoe store is opening. Virginia Tech Alumna Kelly Finnegan is back in Blacksburg with over 30 years of experience and expertise in shoe fitting for healthy feet. She loves helping people feel better every day and teaching them how shoes, socks, and insoles can affect feet, ankles, knees, hips, and back.

Grand Opening events at Pedestrian will be on October 17, 2026, starting at 11 am. Giveaways from Lems Shoes, Merrell, Injinji Toes Socks, and Farm to Feet will be raffled off, with drawings and brand trivia.

Pedestrian is located inside Downtown Blacksburg, Inc.’s retail incubator, The Local (414 N. Main St., Blacksburg, VA 24060), and is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Pedestrian will also sell online at pedestrianstore.com and through the Pedestrian app on the App Store for iPhone users.

Pedestrian will sell Lems Shoes, Merrell, Injinji Toe Socks, Farm to Feet Socks, Ultima Replenishers, Superfeet, Sweaty Bands, and Kelly Marie (handmade crochet bags). More brands and items to come.

The Grand Opening on Saturday, Oct 17th will feature giveaways of a pair of Lems Shoes, a few pairs of Injinji Toe Socks, and a Kelly Marie bag. Pedestrian will also offer a 10% discount Oct 14th-17th.
