Multi-Vehicle Collision on Rt 460

Blacksburg, Virginia, August 24, 2026 – At approximately 5:14pm on Monday, August 24, 2026, the Blacksburg Police Department and emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle collision on US 460 near Southgate Drive, in which a vehicle entered oncoming traffic and was struck. One driver was confirmed to be deceased at the scene. The incident is still under investigation at this time.
