Colorful car, flower photos win contests
The Radford Photo Club enjoyed a picnic at Bisset Park for their August meeting. “Everyone mingled and enjoyed themselves,” said Tracy Burlingame. “The weather was perfect and the food was good.”
Joseph Pack of Fairlawn won both the challenge and the open categories. The challenge was old cars. Pack’s photo of a 1958 Lincoln Continental was taken at the car show for the Brittany McCann fund raiser in Christiansburg. The Lily photo, winner of the open category, was taken at a pond at the Creation Museum in Kentucky.
The next club meeting will be Sept. 24 at the Radford Public Library at 6 p.m. Allison Franklin will present photos taken in Alaska. The challenge will be farm animals. All interested people are welcome. Follow The Radford Photo Club on Facebook to learn about outings.
The club includes photographers of all experience levels from throughout the New River Valley. Club officers are Allison Franklin of Pulaski, Tracy Burlingame of Riner, and Chuck Lynch of Christiansburg.
