Eason, June Wilborn

Eason, June Wilborn 2June Wilborn Eason, 85 of Narrows, VA. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. June was born on August 29, 1940, in Charlotte, NC, and was a daughter of the late Willie Carson Wilborn and Meda Mae Miller Wilborn. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Cline, Faye Taylor, 2 brothers, Wayne and Billy Wilborn, niece, Benita Lanier and nephew, David Taylor, all of Charlotte, North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Croker Eason, Sr. of Narrows, daughter, Sherry E. Gautier (Wayne) of Narrows, son, William “Billy” Croker Eason, Jr. (Dewana) of Pearisburg, granddaughter, Kayla E. Snidow (Kenny) of Pearisburg, 2 great- grandchildren, Sarah Palmer and Brycen Waldron both of Pearisburg, and her North Carolina Family.

Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great-grandmother to Kayla, Sarah, and Brycen. She was always their biggest supporter, proudly following them to their activities, cheering them on, and celebrating every accomplishment along the way. She never wanted to miss a game, event, or special moment in their lives. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply and was a constant source of love, encouragement, and support. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever cherish the memories they made with their loving grandmother and carry her love with them always.

MaMaw June, as she was known, was a loving and caring presence in the lives of so many children. She was the kind of person who could always be counted on, not only as a babysitter, but as someone who loved and cared for children as if they were her own. Her love for children and her community was evident in all that she did.

She proudly supported the NHS Band Boosters, sponsoring Narrows Little League and cheer, and volunteered with the Narrows Recreation Department for more than 25 years. She was also an avid Greenwave fan and loved cheering on the Narrows community. Her generosity, dedication, and love touched countless lives, leaving behind memories that will be cherished for generations.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Medi Home Health and Hospice care team for their care and kindness. A “special” thanks to Kandice, Kayla, and Josi for always going above and beyond.
