“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
In Loving Memory of Jill Renee Green Burley
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jill Renee Green Burley, who entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2026, at the age of 65.
Jill was born on May 15, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, quiet strength, and unwavering faith in God. She found great comfort in reading her Bible and spending time in prayer, and her relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her life.
Jill had a special love for lighthouses and enjoyed collecting them over the years. To those who knew her, they were a reflection of who she was—a reminder that even in life’s storms, there is always light to guide the way. She found beauty in simple things and cherished the moments spent with those she loved.
Above all else, Jill loved her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving daughter, a caring sister, and a cherished mother. Her love, encouragement, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, James Edward Burley Jr.,her loving daughter, Yolanda Nicole Green; her mother, Pearl Green; her brothers, Russell Green, Charles Green, and Bobby Hawkins; along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in knowing that Jill is now at peace in the presence of the Lord she faithfully loved. She has exchanged earthly pain for eternal joy, and while she will be deeply missed, her faith, love, and beautiful memory will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Neal Turner Officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, prior to the service on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at McCoy Funeral Home.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
— Psalm 23
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
