Mann, Bobby Gene

Bobby Gene Mann, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at his home in Lindside. Born February 16, 1939, in Lindside, WV, he was the son of the late Welch Theodore and Anna Lea Ballard Mann.

Bobby was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel Church. He started the Union Disposal Service and served as owner/operator for more than 50 years. He enjoyed old cars, traveling, and anything that was cast iron or copper. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Carroll Mann; grandson, Robert Charles Amos; and siblings, Betty Jo Allen and Benny Mann.

Survivors include his children, Robin Amos and husband Howard of Lindside, WV, and Rodney Lee Mann and wife Debbie of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Hunter Booth and husband Malachi, and Landon Mann and wife Condreana; great grandchildren, Colt and Carson Mann, and Levi Booth; sister, Bethel Meadows and husband Jerry of Lindside, WV; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
