7/31-8/2: AJSA Summer Series
The American Jet Sport Association (AJSA) will return to Pulaski County for the fourth consecutive year when it brings Round 4 of its Southern Summer Series to Claytor Lake State Park, Shelter #2, July 31-August 2, 2026. As the series enters its final stretch, racers from across the Southeast will compete in professional and amateur personal watercraft classes on a tight, spectator-friendly course featuring a log jump.
The weekend combines racing and family entertainment with a Friday Corporate Challenge benefiting the Pulaski County ACCE program and a full Saturday spectator experience featuring live music by Divided Highway, freestyle competition and exhibitions, food trucks, local vendors, and interactive attractions.
Corporate Challenge Benefits Pulaski County ACCE Program
AJSA is inviting businesses throughout Pulaski County to compete in the Corporate Challenge on Friday, July 31. The fee-based event requires no previous racing experience, and all proceeds will benefit the Pulaski County ACCE program. Participating companies can build team camaraderie, get on the water and support a local cause. Teams must register and submit payment by Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Businesses should contact AJSA Racing promptly to reserve a spot.
Saturday: Racing, Live Music and Family Activities
Saturday, August 1, is the featured day for spectators. Gates open at 9:30 a.m., followed by the opening ceremony at 10 a.m. and racing at 10:10 a.m. Competition will include Pro Ski 1050, Pro 1100 Runabout Limited, Junior Ski Futures and amateur classes, with racing continuing throughout the afternoon.
Between races, fans can watch freestyle competition and exhibitions, enjoy live music performed by Divided Highway, try the Virtual Jet Ski Race Experience, and visit the Championship Photo Booth. Admission to the event is free. Admission to the park is required ($7 per vehicle).
Vendor Village and Food
The vendor village is scheduled to include Ember & Bone Counseling, Claytor Lake Customs, Savage Hydro Dipping, Mountain2Island, Whimsical Heartfelt and Christy’s Sweet Vibes. Food and refreshments are scheduled from Nana’s Eats & Treats and Sunset Slush. Vendor participation is subject to change.
Sunday: Racing Continues
Racing continues Sunday, August 2, and spectators are welcome. Saturday remains the primary entertainment day, while Sunday focuses on the final rounds of competition. Food service will also be available Sunday.
