Loftis, Michael James

Michael James Loftis, born on September 6, 1979, passed away on June 29, 2026 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg.

Michael was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the cherished son of Damon Loftis and the late Betty Mae Loftis, whose loving legacy continues to endure in the family Michael held so dear. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his sister, Crystal Lynn Loftis.

Michael is survived by his father Damon Loftis, sister, Lori Perin Loftis. He was a proud of his nieces and nephews Aaliyah Reese, Kaylie Reese, Hailey Loftis, Abigail Hickman, David Reese and Adrian Loftis.

Throughout his life, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, watching scary movies and working on various electronic projects.

Michael’s family and friends will honor his life and legacy with services at Kendall Funeral Home, located at 605 Snidow St, Pembroke, VA 24136. Visitation will be held on July 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, providing a time for all who knew Michael to gather, remember, and offer support to one another. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor George Close officiating on the same evening, also at Kendall Funeral Home, as a tribute to Michael’s life and the impact he made on those around him.
