Put the Interests of the Commonwealth First
Following Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger’s recent actions to rescind Virginia law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration services, Virginia’s Republican Congressmen are speaking out. U.S. Congressmen Morgan Griffith (VA-9) helped lead a letter with U.S. Representatives Rob Wittman (VA-1), Jen Kiggans (VA-2), John McGuire (VA-5) and Ben Cline (VA-6) expressing opposition to Executive Order Ten and Executive Directive One.
In their letter, the Republican lawmakers detail the threats posed by illegal immigration, highlight the importance of cooperation between state and federal law enforcement and commit to working with Governor Spanberger to strengthen Virginia’s security.
They write in part:
“For these reasons, we respectfully urge you to restore the cooperation between state and federal law enforcement that existed under Governor Youngkin’s Administration that successfully removed a large number of dangerous criminals from the streets of Virginia. We appreciate your consideration and stand ready to work with you on solutions to strengthen Virginia’s security and put the interests of the Commonwealth first.”

If local and federal agencies work TOGETHER, they can be more effective and in ridding our neighborhoods of illegal aliens that have raped and murdered our citizens, and trafficked drugs and children in our neighborhoods. I can’t think of a single instance where cooperation between agencies has had a negative impact. Sharing information and resources is far better than keeping each other in the dark and refusing help.

Our local and state law enforcement still do their jobs. ICE and CBP will still do their jobs. Illegals were reported to ICE and deported.
The previous EO was to make a certain group feel like local law enforcement wasn’t doing their jobs. That was not true. The local law enforcement that I know are doing a their jobs.
The border is not closed now. Just like it wasn’t open before. Illegal immigrants will be turned over to ICE.

Why anyone would think this Bill is a good idea is beyond me. Spanberger is essentially saying she doesn’t want Virginia law enforcement to protect and defend Virginians from the violent illegal immigrants that the Democrats let come across our borders. What a disgrace. Pathetic!
