Special Weather Statement

Heavy snow along the leading edge of the frontal boundary is leading to brief periods of 2 to 3 inch per hour snowfall rates across portions of south central Virginia. This will lead to reduced visiblities and possible snow accumulations of up to 1 inch very quickly. Mixed precipitation should end around 10:15 pm
