Bogenschutz, Judy Sarver

Judy Sarver Bogenschutz of Peterstown, WV, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2026. She was the beloved daughter to Callie and Sidney Sarver. Survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary Bogenschutz, who deeply cherished her.

Judy was the youngest of 8 siblings, Susie, Hellen, one more sister, and four brothers. Her daughter, Gwendolyn Poore, was her only child. Brandeon Bogenschutz, Brittani McCook, Kali Poore, and Matthew Poore are her four grandchildren. She was a devoted great grandmother to 9 great grandchildren who she loved dearly. She showed unconditional love and devotion to her family.

Throughout her life, Judy greatly excelled at everything she did. She graduated from Bluefield University. She held the position of social coordinator at Fort Campbell’s Officers Club. She also was social coordinator for the senior citizen center in Clarksville, TN. She owned and operated several businesses including a unique consignment shop, an antique store, and a hair and nail boutique in Peterstown.

Judy greatly valued her faith and was a member of Lifeline Church, where she served and gave much service to the community.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Carla Bragg officiating. Entombment will follow at the Birchlawn Memorial Park in Pearisburg, VA. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
