Clowers, Clifton Lee
Clifton Lee Clowers, 40, of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Clifton was born on July 30, 1985, in Pearisburg, VA and was the son of Donetta Kaye Riddle James of Narrows and the late Lee Roy Clowers. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Henry James, Jr.
Clifton was a graduate of Christiansburg High School. He has had numerous jobs, being last employed as a landscaper with S & M Landscaping in Christiansburg. He loved to ride his motorcycle with his friends and lately enjoyed talking about the Lord with his buddies. Clifton was a person you couldn’t help but love. When he was around, joy and happiness just radiated off of him. He found joy in the simplicity of life. He was a hard worker and would do anything he could for those around him. Clifton had some trials in life and knew the only way through it was through God and he had given his life to the Lord. He was a member of Thompson Chapel Church in Mandeville, WV, where he attended every Wednesday evening and Sunday morning. He always found time to share the word of the Lord and encouraged those around him to get closer to God.
Besides his mother, Clifton is survived by his sister, Amanda Kaye Wall (Aaron) of Ballard, WV, his maternal grandmother, Caroleene Riddle Clowers of Narrows, 3 uncles, Lawrence H. Riddle (Patricia) of Narrows, Lewis Clowers of Bozoo, WV and Kenneth Clowers (Missy) of Bozoo, WV, numerous cousins, special cousins, Wayne Clowers (Corie) of Bozoo, WV, Jason Clowers (Ashley) of Lindside, WV, and Caleb Wall of Michigan.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1:00pm at Thompson Chapel Church, 2380 Shumate Rd, Mandeville, WV, with Pastor David Ballngee officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Thompson Chapel Church.

You was a great guy to work with over the years and wish he never had that motorcycle accident cause he would still been here. Fly high brother and remember look down and watch over us. We love you and miss you so very much. Not a day goes by without you on my mind that I want to jump on my Harley Davidson and go fastest I can go to see you again but I know you don’t want me to do that. You drive the streets of Gold and you enjoy Heaven. Take care and see you soon brother.
