Hare III, Robert Ward
Robert Ward Hare III, 59 of Pearisburg, VA passed away peacefully at Giles Carilion Hospital on September 27, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Ward was born on August 11th, 1965 in VA and was the son of late Robert Hare Jr. and Vergie Leola of Pearisburg, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Butch Hite, two sisters Becky Curtis, and Betty Goad. Ward was a retired employee of the Bland Correctional Center with 25 years of service. He was an avid hunter, loved all his animals, and had one of the best green thumbs around. The moments Ward enjoyed the most were the memories and time spent sitting on the porch alongside his friends, family, and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Darlene Hare; who he loved unconditionally, his daughters Rebecca Hare and Jessica Hughes (Rich); who he held a special place in his heart for, Step-Son David Sadler, grandchildren, Kadence Rayne Craft and Kori Skye Clark and Step-Grandson Dawson Sadler. Ward always cherished his roles as “Pop-Pop.”
