10/05: National Weather Service Open House

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg, VA will be hosting an Open House Saturday October 5, 2024 from 10am-3pm. Stop by any time between 10 AM and 3 PM to learn about the National Weather Service and what we do on a daily basis. Admission is free!

Watch a simulated weather balloon launch

Visit with some of our partners in the parking lot

Learn how we issue products and warnings

Hands-on experiments

Learn about severe weather and hydrology
