Alderman, Shirley Leftwich

Shirley Leftwich Alderman, age 87, of Elliston, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at her home. She was born in Washington, DC on February 08, 1937, to the late Walter Martin and Gladys Clifford Routh. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Howard Leftwich and her second husband Robert Allan Alderman.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeri “Tobi” and Ronnie Carbonneau, Laurie and Kenny Wood, and Wendy Leftwich Croy; sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kim Leftwich and Darren Leftwich; step-children, Carrie Reed, Bonnie Booth (Scott), Robert A. “Bobby” Alderman, Jr. (Danielle); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewey O. Weaver, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Friday, August 16, 2024, at McCoy Funeral Home.
