Fritz, Linda Melton

Linda Kay Fritz, age 68, of Ballard, WV, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born March 29, 1956, in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Lee Melton and Emma Louise Whitaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Lee Melton; and stepfather, Fred Lee Whitaker.

Linda was a member of Rich Creek Church of Christ. She retired from Pulaski Furniture as an inspector. She loved fishing and camping. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Survivors include her husband, James Dennis Fritz; three sons, Denny Fritz, Jr. and wife Carol of Taylorsville, NC, Greg Fritz and wife Sherry of Taylorsville, NC, and Scott Fritz of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Ashley Smith and husband Potsie of Christiansburg, VA, and Melissa Baker of Statesville, NC; two brothers, Eddie Whitaker of Pulaski, VA, and David Whitaker of Thomasville, NC; one sister, Carolyn Clarke of Barren Springs, VA; fourteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Minister Darrell Fletcher officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Grove Memorial Gardens in Lindside, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
