Conley, William Lee
William Lee “Willie” Conley, 78 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Willie was born on May 3, 1946, in Giles Co., VA and was a son of the late Luther Martin Conley and Virginia Blankenship Conley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Euna Mae Conley, Marie Conley Hamilton, nephew, Gary Lee Hamilton, and brother-in-law, Buford Hade Hamilton
Willie worked and retired from Goodwill Industries of the Valleys in Pearisburg. He never met a stranger and anyone who ever met him, became his friend instantly. He loved his family and loved sitting on his porch watching everyone traveling up and down Wolf Creek. His disabilities did not define him or hold him back in life. His happiness always shown through like the sunshine and uplifted those around him.
He is survived by 3 nephews, Terry W. Hamilton of NC, Darrell R. Hamilton (Cindy) of NC, Buford “Tator” Hamilton (Jennifer) of Christiansburg, 13 great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA with Pastor Tony Robertson officiating with burial following in the Conley – Johnston Family Cemetery in Narrows, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour before the service from 1 – 2pm. I am sorry for your loss. I may be kin to you all. My Maternal Grandparents were Issac Edward Conley and Mary Margaret Johnston Conley. They had a Home in Pembroke in Rocky Hollar when they past before i was born. I’d love to get more information from anyone that would be willing to contact me.
