Tanaka, Chiyomi

Chiyomi Tanaka, 49, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. She was born on December 22, 1974. She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Page Watson.

Chiyomi could always be found spending time with her beloved dogs Anna, Bailey, and Buddy. She loved taking them on walks and going hiking with her children. She also enjoyed going to the river with her grand dog, Ressie. She loved to garden and when visiting her home, you could always find many beautiful plants around her house.

She is survived by her daughters, Alisha Tanaka and husband Kit Luke, Katelyn Tanaka and fiancé Daniel Hoge; siblings, Anthony Aragon, Leela Rice and husband Robert Rice, Namo Tanaka and wife Valerie Cano; parents, Hiroshi Tanaka and step-mother, Haruyo Tanaka; nieces and nephews; Seth Martin and wife Sarah Martin, Brooke Martin and fiancé Chase Campbell, Sunshine Mercedes Aragon, Alex Tanaka; great-niece, Sophie Martin.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Chiyomis name. Donations can be made online using this link

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 4-6 pm at Horne Funeral Home.
