Inspired by the Dream: It Starts with me
The Montgomery-Floyd-Radford City branch of the NAACP is delighted to announce the 2024 celebration in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event will be held at the Church on Main, Blacksburg, Virginia on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Ms. Tameka Paige, Community Relations Specialist of the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office. Ms. Paige has engaged with various communities in a variety of positions and will share the impact of Dr. King’s teachings on her life. The program will include musical performances, tributes to Dr. King, and the announcement of the 2024 recipients of the MRF Branch Community Service Awards in Honor of Dr. King.
NAACP Silver Life Member Awards also will be presented. Please join us for this community event to commemorate the life and work of Dr. King, one of the most prominent leaders of the Civil Rights movement.
