King, Paul Kevin

Paul Kevin King formerly of Dublin, VA passed away on November 16th, 2023 in Georgetown, SC. Paul was born January 22nd, 1954 in Giles County, VA and was the son of the late Hugh King and Mabel Morris King. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joe R. Stafford of the Sugar Run community in Giles County.

He was a 1972 graduate of Giles High School and retired from Centerra located at the Radford Arsenal. Paul was a kind hearted individual and loved by all who knew him. He served as Dottie’s primary caregiver for many years prior to his passing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Dottie Stafford King and daughter, Heather K. O’Neal of Georgetown, SC, four grandchildren of Georgetown, one brother Wayne King of North Carolina, one sister Alice K. Allen (Tracy) of Pearisburg, VA, Betsy G. Stafford, one brother-in-law, Rick Stafford (Robin) all of the Sugar Run community and one sister Sherry S. Legard (Richard) of Pearisburg, VA, several nieces and nephews and his four-legged companions, Rufus and Ellie, whom he adored, as well as all of God’s other creatures.

A celebration of life will be held for Paul on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Thessalia Community Church with pastor and friend, Charles Henderson, officiating. A light luncheon and time of fellowship will follow the service.
