12/1: Winter Lights & Holiday Parade

Downtown Blacksburg’s Winter Lights activities will be held on Friday, December 1 on College Avenue from 3-8pm. College Avenue will be closed beginning at 11am and will reopen at 11pm.

The Blacksburg Annual Holiday parade will be held on Friday, December 1 at 7pm. The parade will begin on Main Street at the Turner Street intersection** and will follow Main Street through downtown, ending on Eheart Street. Turner Street will be closed to through traffic for the parade lineup starting at 5:30pm and will reopen at 8:30pm. Main Street will be closed during the parade. Click to view the parade route.

**This year’s route is a slight change from previous years. Those who typically watch the parade near the roundabout on Prices Fork Road are encouraged to move closer to the Turner Street intersection & the new beginning of the parade route.
