Peanut Butter Drive at Area Kroger 4In partnership with Feeding America and local food bank partners, Kroger will be holding peanut butter drives in all of its Mid-Atlantic stores for the third year in a row. This year’s drive will take run from Wednesday, August 18 through Tuesday, September 14.

Peanut butter is a shelf-stable item among the most-needed items for food banks, and a great source of protein.

To contribute, customers at Kroger locations can purchase peanut butter and place it in the donation bin at the front of the store. Any brand of peanut butter can be donated. All donations will benefit the local food bank.

“The peanut butter drive has been a great success in last two years, and we’re excited to bring back the drive for a third year in all of our Mid-Atlantic Kroger stores,” said Lori Raya, president of Kroger Mid-Atlantic. “Peanut butter is always high on the list of needed items from our food bank partners, and we’re hoping this month-long drive will be a great success to help them stock their shelves.”
