Do you want to build a snowman?

With winter weather in the forecast this weekend, the Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department wants to see your best snowman, snow fort or other creation made from snow! And because we love a friendly competition, we’ll ask our friends on Facebook to vote for their favorite.

The contest is open to all Christiansburg residents. Your snow creation must be built between Saturday, Jan. 30, and Monday, Feb. 1, and must be located within the town’s corporate limits. The deadline to submit entries is 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1. Email your name and photo to info@christiansburg.org.

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, we’ll place photos of the entries on the Town of Christiansburg’s Facebook page and open the contest for voting. One “like” equals one vote. The photo with the most likes by 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 will be declared the winner!

Feel free to get creative with your snowman or winter creation – accessories (such as buttons for eyes, twigs for arms, etc.) are allowed and encouraged. All creations must be family-friendly. Submissions that do not follow the contest guidelines will not be published on Facebook.
