9/3: Potter in the Park Challenge

9/3: Potter in the Park Challenge 4

Calling all wizards and muggles! It’s time to leave the cupboard under the stairs and run or walk in the TriWizard TriMile Potter in the Park 5K fundraiser for literacy on September 3 in Radford. Wizarding wear optional! The course winds through the forbidden forest and wizarding world of Bisset Park.

Costume contest, “house” prizes, age group awards, Magical Creatures, butterbeer, and magic wands for all finishers . . . tons of fun for muggles and wizards alike!

Can’t make it on Sept. 3? Virtual racers are invited to participate! Register as an “invisibility cloak” virtual racer and walk or run 3 miles when it’s convenient for you (you’ll still receive your official Potter in the Park t-shirt).

For more information and to register go to www.lvnrv.org/potterinthepark, send an “owl” to info@lvnrv.org, or call 540-382-7262. Hosted by Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley, all proceeds go to directly to adult literacy programs in our community. Accio literacy!
