8/5: Mike Mitchell in Concert
The Floyd Center for the Arts invites all to join us at the Center on August 5 for the upcoming Mike Mitchell concert. The concert will begin at 6:00 pm and is offered as part of our Appalachian Strings series, which also features an exhibition of hand-crafted musical instruments. A closing reception for the Appalachian Strings exhibition will precede the concert at 5:00 pm. We could not be more excited to share this conclusion to this series with our community.
Mike Mitchell is a singer/songwriter and fiddler in the contemporary bluegrass style. He is most influenced by 70’s J.D Crowe and The New South, Tony Rice, and Sam Bush.
With his effortless vocals, distinctive songwriting, and instrumental prowess, Mike continues to capture audiences and carve out his own place in bluegrass.
The closing reception for the Appalachian Strings exhibit is free and open to the public. Tickets for the concert are $15 and available on the Center’s website, in person, and by phone.
