8/16: Eastmont Tomato Festival

Festival for all-things-tomato! Free Admission to the festival located at Meadowbrook Center courtyard – 267 Alleghany Springs Road, Shawsville, VA; Tomato-themed food for sale includes Fried Green Tomatoes and Pizza; We will have the TomatOlympics, vendors, craft table, Tomato Talent show, Tomato Grower Contest and a Tomato Food Dish Contest;

Festival Parking will be available at Waldron Fitness Center, Meadowbrook Public Library, the large grass lot behind Jones Car Company (Roanoke Road) and across 460 near Carilion Clinic. We kindly ask that you remain aware of the businesses open on Saturdays, including Pizzana, Dollar General and Shawsville Pharmacy, and respect the parking spaces designated for their customers. This year’s Tomato Festival will take place on Saturday, August 16th from 10am-2pm at the Meadowbrook Center courtyard. Volunteers are needed to support the festival this year. Below is a list of opportunities.

• Parking attendants
