6/8: Farm to Table Dinner in Blacksburg
Make plans now to attend the second annual Virginia Cheese Fest Farm to Table dinner featuring live music, delightful wines, and flavorful cheese forward dishes prepared by the Palisades Restaurant and Hell’s Kitchen runner up Chef Torrece “T” Gregoire.
The event, organized by the Blacksburg Partnership and sponsors Union Bank and Hurt & Proffitt will take place Friday, June 8 under the beautiful pavilion at Smithfield Plantation. There will be a welcome reception at 6:30 p.m., with a four-course dinner to follow.
Throughout the evening learn how the select ingredients and Virginia cheeses made it to the plate and why certain selections were made to bring together the flavors of the dish and the wines. Guests are advised to wear comfortable shoes for natural terrain and anticipate a change in temperature as the evening may be cool. Jeans and smart casual attire will not be out of place, but be creative and have a little fun with it! Cheesy accessories are always a great idea.
Tickets are $75 a person and include a four-course dinner with passed appetizers and wine pairings. Seating is limited and last year sold out early, so purchase tickets today to reserve your spot.
