6/25: June Chamber Membership Lunch Meeting
The main topic of the Floyd Chamber’s June hour-long, lunch meeting will be an overview of the NRV Leading Lights organization followed by a formal presentation of the 2018 NRV Leading Lights Award for volunteerism in Floyd to Vickie Spangler. Dick Arnold, one of the founders and current Chair of the board of directors, will present information about this local annual awards organization and share how Floyd residents and businesses can support this organization and submit nominations. The presentation will be followed by key chamber updates that include new membership benefits and then conclude with time for self-introductions and networking.
This lunch meeting will be held on Monday, June 25th at Noon in the Skyline National Bank’s Community Room. The lunch – with entrees from chamber member, Mickey G’s – is being sponsored by chamber member, Skyline National Bank. Dessert is sponsored by chamber member Cocoa Mia. In addition to chamber members, others in the Floyd business community are welcome to attend. RSVP are required for those who wish to be included in arrangements for lunch. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 745-4407 by noon on Friday, June 22nd. Otherwise, all are welcome to attend the meeting.
The Chamber’s 2018 meeting schedule alternates each month between evening board meetings and hour-long, membership-oriented lunchtime meetings, typically on the fourth Monday of each month. The board business items are eliminated/abbreviated at lunchtime meetings to include more time for presenting topics of general interest to the membership and for membership discussion. Lunch is provided by a chamber member sponsor for these meetings except in December.
