6/15-16: Pearisburg Festival in the Park

The 34th Pearisburg Festival in the Park will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 and Saturday, June 16, 2018 on the grounds of the Pearisburg Community Center.

The Pearisburg Festival in the Park celebrates its 34th year bringing carnival rides for all ages, live entertainment featuring an excellent showcase of regional talent, special activities, 20+ vendors and crafters, food and more!

For Friday night only, wristbands will be available for $15.00 to enjoy unlimited rides from 6:00-10:00 pm. Kickoff ceremonies will start at 6:00 pm with a flag ceremony. Live entertainment on the main stage begins on Friday with the Giles Community Chorus followed by Lee Palmer & Hotwired, and wrapping up the evening, Nashville recording artist Jeremy Michael returns to the Festival.

Saturday begins with a live auction sponsored by the Rotary Club of Giles County. The auction is a Saturday morning staple at the Festival featuring great pieces and local items. The funds raised for the auction will benefit the Rotary sponsored projects throughout the year. Immediately following the auction, enjoy two local youth dance group performances.

New this year, guests can enjoy BINGO in the Community Center Cafeteria throughout Saturday and the popular The Farm Experience by Rolling Hills Farm returns with a petting zoo and limited pony rides.

Saturday afternoon guests will be treated to the local, talented musician David Francisco and new to Festival this year is Justen Harden, a singer/songwriter performing his acoustic numbers in the early evening. Wrapping up Saturday is bluegrass band Rich in Tradition and regional favorite Southern Nights Band. The festival caps off with fireworks.

The Pearisburg Festival Around Town Car Show will be held on Saturday with registration starting at 9:00 am and the Awards Ceremony at 3:00 pm.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

New this year there will be a free downtown shuttle service offered from the Giles County Courthouse parking lot.

The festival is rain or shine.
