5/24: Advance Auto Parts Grand Opening 2Advance Auto Parts (NYSE: AAP), a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider, will celebrate the opening of its new location in Christiansburg on 35 Conston Avenue NW with a ribbon cutting event at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24.

The event will be attended by local dignitaries, including representatives from Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

“We are thrilled to increase our presence in Christiansburg with the opening of our new store,” said David Pauly, Advance’s district manager. “Advance has such a rich history in this area, given the company was founded right up the road in Roanoke. Our team is excited to get to work by providing friendly, expert advice and quality auto parts to residents, especially heading into the summertime and peak travel season.”

A company with local roots, Advance began in 1932 when Roanoke community leader Arthur Taubman purchased Advance Stores Company, a three-store chain of auto and home supply stores. Since then, Advance has expanded to become one of the largest automotive retailers in the country, operating more than 4,700 stores across North America.

The retailer carries a full assortment of leading name brand automotive aftermarket parts and products, including DieHard® batteries, FRAM fluids and oil filters, Pennzoil lubricants, Carquest parts, Meguiar’s wash and wax products and more.

Advance also offers free curbside services for motorists, including battery testing and installation, wiper blade installation and check engine light scanning. Customers can also place orders online or within the Advance app for in-store or curbside pickup in 30 minutes or less.

The new store measures approximately 7,000 sq. feet and employs 10 team members. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
